In partnership with New Clark City (NCC) and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Race Organizer RUNRIO Inc. has announced the New Clark City Marathon Returns for Bigger Challenge in 2024 during the New Clark City Marathon Media Launch 2024 last April 02, 2024 held at NCC Athletics Stadium, Capas, Tarlac.
RUNRIO Inc. is established in 2007 by Rio de la Cruz, a UP Diliman alumnus, accomplished international marathoner, and esteemed running coach. He stated that the New Clark City Marathon is not just the race, it’s the ultimate fusion of speed, stamina, and pure adrenaline! This advocacy event will also promote tourism in the New Clark City’s parks, establishments and notable places of the eco-friendly bio diverse city.
Engr. Randy S. Viacrusis, BCDA Vice President for Strategic Projects Management, stated that they are thrilled to welcome runners to New Clark City’s world-class facilities and extensive road network. He also mentioned that RunRio’s involvement is a testament to New Clark City’s status as a premier sports tourism destination in the Philippines.
The enthusiast and competitive runners who will participate the New Clark City Marathon for its second year this coming May 19, 2024 will experience the breathtaking scenery and challenging course that will test their perseverance to finish the race. In fact, the participants will experience to conquer a full marathon route, taking taking runners through the iconic Sacobia Bridge, then to longest bike lane in the country—the Airport to NCC Access Road (ANAR). Capping off the journey with an exhilarating finish line experience in front of the world-class NCC Athletics Stadium.
