In my personal opinion, securing Social Security (SS) Card or Social Security System (SSS) Identification Card (ID) is necessary in availing or claiming present and future SSS Benefits. It is also considered as valid ID for those private employees and self-employed which may be use in any personal or business transactions and legal purposes.
I was employed in a private company in Makati City in the year 2002 and an active SSS member since then. Two years after, more or less, I had decided to secure my Social Security Card in SSS-Makati Branch but unfortunately their machine were unavailable or under maintenance for the processing of SSS ID. With this, I decided to secure my SS CARD or SSS ID with my domicile address in SSS-Laoag City Branch.
Just want to share my personal experiences for the steps or procedures in securing Social Security Card or SSS ID with details as follows:
Step (1) Get SSS Form E-6 (Application for Social Security Card); Step (2) Completely filled out the SSS Form E-6 in one (1) copy; Step (3) Submitted the accomplished SSS Form E-6 to SSS Authorized Personnel together with the supporting documents/IDs; Step (4) Taking of my photo captured via web cam by the SSS Personnel; and finally, Step (5) Getting of my bio-metric finger print and bio-metric signature by the authorized SSS employee.
It was not difficult for me in the application for my Social Security Card or SSS ID because I had completed and submitted the necessary documents during that time in deed.
In fact, few months after, I had successfully received my Social Security Card or SSS ID that was mailed in my permanent address.
